Step 1. Sterilizing stage

Raw materials: Fresh palm fruit bunches (FFB)

Machine needed: Sterilizer

Process: The sterilizing stage is to inject steam into the sterilizer and steam the palm fruits at high temperature for 60 minutes, to destroy the enzymes in the fruits and avoid oil degradation.

Step 2. Threshing stage

Machine needed: Drum type thresher

Process: The purpose of threshing is to separate the palm fruit from the FFB. The separated palm fruit is send to the next stage, and empty fruit bunches are transported to boiler station as fuel.

Step 3. Digesting & pressing stage

Raw materials: Separated palm fruits

Machine needed: Digester and double screw palm oil pressing machine

Process: Digesting is for crushing palm fruits, inside the digester, there are baffles and stirring arms, under the driving of top motor, break off the palm fruits and inject steam to boil the palm fruits. Then the mashed palm fruits will go into the palm oil pressing machine under the digester, and with the increase of the pressing chamber pressure, the crude palm oil will flow from the outlet, into the temporary oil storage tank.

Step 4. Oil clarification stage

Raw materials: Crude palm oil

Machine needed: Vibrating screen, crude oil tank

Process: The crude palm oil is filtered out of fibers and impurities by vibrating screen. Then the filtered oil is precipitated in oil clarification tank to obtain upper pure oil and lower dirty oil. If a large-scale palm oil production line is used, it can also be equipped with a dirty oil treatment part.

Step 5. Vacuum dryer stage

Machine needed: Vacuum dehydration tank

Process: During this stage, the vacuum dehydration tank will be evacuated and heated with steam to evaporate the moisture in the palm oil to ensure quality.

Step 6. Kernel recovery stage

Raw materials: Mixture of pressed palm nuts and fibers

Required equipment: fiber separation machine, palm kernel and shell separating system, dryer, palm kernel silo

Process: The mixture of pressed palm nuts and fibers is separated by a fiber separation machine, and the separated palm nuts are crushed by a shelling machine, and then the palm kernels and shells are separated by the air separation system and water separation system. And last the kernels are dried by hot air and sent to the palm kernel silos.
