Palm oil fractionation process flow chart is a general layout of a present-day dry fractionation process. Palm oil fractionation process goes through the control of palm oil cooling and crystallization to make separation of palm oil into low melting point liquid (palm olein) and high melting solid (palm stearin). Palm oil fractionation is the deep process of refined palm oil. Because at room temperature, part of the palm oil will crystallize and form into two parts: solid state and liquid state. Main flow chart of palm oil fractionation includes three parts:

1. Heating: as we've stated above, palm oil will contains both liquid state and solid state at normal temperature, so first we need to heat the palm oil and make it all into liquid state first, which is good for forming into even crystals in the following palm oil fractionation process.

2. Crystallization: after heating, the liquid palm oil will be pumped into crystallization tank, and there is cooling water pipes inside the tank to help lower the temperature and make it easy for forming into even crystals.

3.Separating stearin and olein: after crystallization, the mixture of solid and liquid oil will be pumped to membrane filter, which is specially adopted in the palm oil fractionation plant to separate the stearin and olein, then send to different storage tanks. Besides, we will further collect the small part of liquid oil contained in the stearin, in order to increase olein yield.
